We started this day joining our hosts on their daily walk on Sunset Beach. The beach is perfect for walking; it's flat and firm. It's very easy to understand why Bill and Mila begin each day with this walk.
When we returned from the beach it was time for breakfast, so Mila put together a wonderful breakfast featuring fresh fruits and crepes! They were delicious.
While Mila prepared our breakfast, Bill, Joni, and I drove to the dock in nearby Calabash, SC, to buy some fresh shrimp for tonight's dinner. Bill bought three pounds of shrimp which were caught this morning. You can't any fresher shrimp.
This boat reminds me of Forrest Gump's boat, the "Jenny".
After we cleaned up the breakfast dishes, Joni and Bill deveined the three pounds of shrimp, Mila had her hair done, and I worked on this blog.
Mila's dinner was wonderful. When shrimp are this fresh they are so good. My best analogy would be like having a fresh picked tomato in August. There's just no comparison. We were so excited about eating that I forgot to take any photos. Sorry Scott!
We ended the day with more sliding viewing of Bill and Mila's trips to Bangkok, Russia, and Japan. Mila was born in Russia, so were saw videos from 2003 of Moscow and St. Petersburg including where Mila went to school and the hospital where her two children were born. The excitement in her voice as she narrated these memories was heart warming.
